About the Author

Michael Sound is not just a writer, he is a questioner of foundations, a challenger of dogma, and a seeker of truth in all its forms.

Raised in a strict Southern Baptist household, Michael was introduced to a version of God steeped in fear, fire, and obedience. As a child, he watched churchgoers weep and wail under the spirit, and saw his own mother collapse in what she believed to be divine ecstasy. These moments, intense, mysterious, and terrifying, would imprint deeply on his young mind. When he was taken to see The Passion of the Christ in the fourth grade, it wasn’t an experience of faith. It was trauma.

In the years that followed, he moved away from God. What had once seemed sacred began to feel like a mechanism of control, something built more on fear than love. He became an atheist, grounded in the hard lines of reason and science. Yet even in that rational world, something tugged at the edges: the mysteries of consciousness, the oddities of quantum mechanics, the strange power of belief.

It was through this doorway, physics, that Michael found his way into metaphysics.

Drawing from quantum theory, panpsychism, the Science of Mind, and the Participatory Anthropic Principle, Michael began to see something deeper: not just that reality might be shaped by observation, but that belief itself might be a creative force. Through this lens, God is not merely a being who created us, but also a phenomenon we have helped to create. A feedback loop of divine imagination.

In God Is Real And We Made Him Up!, Michael Sound explores this paradox with fearless curiosity. The book is not an attack on belief, it is a deeper dive into its power. It is an invitation to reimagine divinity not as an external tyrant or comforting fantasy, but as something more radical: a living, co-created truth, shaped by the very minds that seek it.
